When an American army chaplain named Darren Turner is called to active duty abroad, he's forced to leave his wife and three young children behind. The fresh faced and naive Turner is forced to confront the evils of humanity and the harsh truths of reality head on for the first time, and he returns home a greatly changed man. Turner finds his faith in God and humanity challenged, and leaves him with questions and bitterness that put the sanctity of his marriage in jeopardy. Together with his wife, he has to renew his faith in religion and find a path forward for his family's future.
